Raised by a rare music collector while growing through a major revolution period of dance culture of Eastern Europe; later discovering western Europe’s underground music scene, Hristo has experienced and learnt a lot and he has brought it with him to the Canadian west coast. His sets are built with erotic stompers, vintage progressive psychedelics and cosmic funk combined with modern dance sounds; all timeless grooves forming an epic, character rich dance cocktail that takes mind and body on a journey.

Hristo’s 12” vinyl only project Friendly Monster Records marked the beginning of his 2014 music endeavours featuring cuts from him, Koosh and Osmose, both legendary masters with regular limited vinyl only releases. Hristo is also the guy behind Honey Disco Records, experimental label releasing oddity looking and sounding records that are gaining more and more popularity in the underground scenes throughout the world. Started as an experiment back in 2011 with an annual release schedule now the label is featuring some really obscure cuts from Hristo, Koosh and Eddie C. As per usual there is a release party celebrating each release and now also with the idea of doing one in a different location around the world. So far Victoria and Berlin have been put on the map with next one coming out this summer set to be in another major city on the west coast. Hristo edits and reworks are also featured on Smokecloud Records. Osmose’s Atlanta based vinyl only label that is featuring tracks by some very well established and regarded talents in the industry.

In the recent years in Victoria, Hristo has been part of some of the hottest parties in the city. Often spotted behind the decks in Fan Tan Alley at one of Chinatown Event's killer underground parties, he is part of a crew that keeps alive a valuable music scene, regularly organizing special events nested in an amazing historical surroundings and creating a truly unique, intimate and exclusive experience.
