Marc Leclair aka Akufen has come a long way in the four years since the release of his now-classic debut album, My Way. He’s now garnered a reputation as one of the world’s most in-demand DJs, delivering prime-time sets to exuberant crowds on nearly every continent. His ‘Fabric 17’ album (where Fabric nightclub in London gives him a monthly residency) released in 2004 was a minimal house tour-de-force, bursting with energy, excitement, and invention. In addition to the dozens of singles he’s issued, he runs his own label Musique Risquée, and has remixed such genre-defining artists as Richie Hawtin, Cabaret Voltaire, Yello, Massive Attack, Mike Shannon, and Thomas Brinkmann.
