JOY BROTHERES (TARO JOY & ALEX JOY [bday set])
+ SiGNAL resident OLLIE PLE
13 years ago Taro and Alex Joy , the Joy Brothers embarked on a musical journey that would wind it's way through a half dozen countries and almost every genre of electronic music produced . Their styles developed separately on either sides of the world with Alex Joy making a name for himself in Vancouver with such releases as "Sexy Pie" and "The Heist".
While Taro Joy was in Tokyo carving out a niche in the harder driven Hard House and Electro markets of Asia. He signed as resident for Tokyo mega club "Pylon" and with 9 tracks released and distributed in Japan by EMI and Victor records he developed a name and style all his own. The inevitable back-to-back back gigs that ensued whenever these two brothers got together has had them booked as the "THE JOY BROTHERS" world wide with the likes of Jimmy Van M (Bali), Nick Warren (Bali),Tsuyoshi (Tokyo, Bali, Australia) and most recently in Tokyo's highest club, Mado Lounge (53rd floor) with Dave Seaman. As well as rocking the Renegade stage of Soundwave Music Festival. The brothers, who share a healthy respect for each other also share the brothers love of competition and so find that together they push each other to bring their absolute A game to every track and every mix they make, much to the appreciation of the crowds that are getting to see them. Theirs is a show not miss , the music is deep grinding electro punctured with dark sex drenched techno and tattooed with mischievous antics and druggy breakdowns set in motion by two brothers going toe to toe, back to back, full on every track.
