About Derrick Carter
A true master of House music, Derrick Carter started disco DJing when was a kid. His first single came out in 1989 which assured him a spot in the Chicago underground. Co-founder of one of the best labels around, Classic, the iconic imprint that unites the original Chicago Deep sound with British psychedelia. Derrick Carter is a DJ first and foremost. He knows how to party, and most importantly, why people party, why people go to clubs. He understands perfectly how to lead a dancefloor towards those comic disco moments and does so creatively, without resorting to the obvious big tunes, preferring to take the classy high road.
