This year sets the stage for finished collaborations “Chaos In The Streets” with Tocadisco, “Running From” with John Acquaviva & Madox, “Emotion Commotion” with Glitch for Spiller’s Italian imprint and “Limit Of Your Mind” with 45 Rocks. Past collaborations include Felix Da Housecat, Mark Romboy, James Murphy, Arthur Baker and DJ Hell.

He has played everywhere from Hong Kong to Reykjavik, the official after-party for the MTV Europe Music Awards, Sundance Film Festival, AVN Awards, 150 year celebration of Nicola Tesla in Belgrade, Serbia, opening night at the Philippe Starke designed Volar in Shanghai, the Andy Warhol Museum and in spring 2007 embarks on a third tour of Australia in less than eighteen months.

Tommie (alongside long time collaborator Mark Verbos) has retouched work from a diverse list that includes Shiny Toy Guns, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, HelloGoodbye, The Glimmers, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Sounds, Good Charlotte, Gossip, Scissor Sisters, Elvis Presley, Gang of Four, Greenskeepers, Ladytron, The Killers, P.O.D., Pink, Fischerspooner, The Faint,Kill Hannah, Peaches and Avril Lavigne. Also three of Tommie’s remixes graced the soundtrack to“Snakes On A Plane”, Fall Out Boy, The Hush Sound and Panic! At The Disco. Self designed; signature Paul Frank for Tommie Sunshine sunglasses hit the streets in the spring of 2007. Furthermore, major fashion houses have asked Tommie for his deck time such as Versace, Raf Simons, Chanel, Xavier Delcour and Jeremy Scott Beverly Hills. Tommie’s original music has also been featured in a film by designer Jeremy Scott; NY hotel Tribeca Grand’s website, Blockbuster Video radio spots, a cd advertisement for the fashion label Chanel and on the CBS show Without A Trace. His work was also featured in Entertainment Tonight’s coverage of the Academy Awards, as well as the Hollywood film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Not one to wait for pioneering outlets for his music, his tunes have been in video games such as NBA 2K6 which features an unreleased track titled “And Them” as well as Need For Speed: Underground 2 and Tony Hawk: American Wasteland.

After six years in Georgia where he ran Satellite Records - Atlanta and held down two residencies at Club Sol and Fusion, he moved back to Chicago for four years establishing club nights ElectroSweat and Degeneration. He also held down the position of promotional director of the Midwest dance staple Dust Traxx and was named in URB magazine’s Next 100. As a member of Thee Maddkatt Courtship with longtime collaborator Felix Da Housecat, Tommie co-produced "Cosmic Pop" for ffrr/London Records and worked again with Felix & Miss Kittin - co writing “Silver Screen (Shower Scene)”, “Happy Hour” and “Glitz Rock” - on the award winning 2002 Kittenz & Thee Glitz LP. Thom Yorke of Radiohead is quoted in URB Magazine saying, “That should have been fucking number one all over the world.” The single "Silver Screen (Shower Scene)" continues to be a dance floor classic around the world years after release and collected praise from Madonna, Bjork & Donatella Versace. The duo returned to the studio again for another Felix album including “Rocket Ride” and “Everyone Is Someone In LA” which Tommie coproduced and co-wrote. Tommie also worked with International Deejay Gigolo records supreme DJ Hell and LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy on Hell’s “NY Muscle” LP. These are among the early experiences that gave Tommie the platform he has used to build an empire of sound.

His long history in the mid-west rave scene made him a major source for those who wanted to learn more about the underground dance culture. He wrote the preface to Mireille Silcott’s novel, Rave America and his knowledge on all things centric to this particular music cycle earned him an appearance in Peter Jennings Reporting on ABC, Our Generation on The History Channel, two separate BBC documentaries on House Music as well as rave documentary Rise. He has also been establishing his own presence as A&R and label owner with xylophone jones Recordings (xjR EU) to include a cast of shocking newcomers alongside well-established artists from around the world. Press highlights include his face gracing both DJ Times and URB Magazines covers in the same month, Beats Magazine Best DJ of Hong Kong 05, which in turn got him his first International Residency at Hong Kong’s famous nightclub Volar, a three page monologue in Anthem Magazine and Paper Magazine’s 10th Annual Beautiful People.

Tommie released three mix CDs in less than one year, the first being August 2006 German released “Systematic Sessions: Volume Two” alongside label owner, Marc Romboy. DJ Magazine gave it 4.5 out of 5 and made it the pick of the issue. UK’s M8 Magazine named it #1 Compilation of 2006 calling Tommie’s disc, “…a hugely innovative, nerve shredding ride that has to be heard to be believed.” Early March 2007 saw Australia’s “One Love – Vol. 5 - Your Disco Will Eat You” triple CD alongside Dirty South and Dennis the Menace & Jerry Ropero. This CD is set to hit gold sales status and is distributed through Sony/BMG. Also March 2007 saw the release of Tommie Sunshine Presents: Ultra.Rock. Remixed which marked Tommie’s Stateside debut. This double disc serves as more than just a mix CD; it is a 24-track collection of original material, songs Tommie wrote lyrics to and sang and remix work encapsulating the last 4 years of his production career. Two singles will emerge from this album, “Tokyo Pollution” and “Dance Among The Ruins” which is first up and features Johan Bengtsson from The Sounds on bass, Nik Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeah’s on guitar and features a duet of Tommie and Peaches on vocals. Remixes will follow as will many other productions and remix surprises for 2007.
